Dr Chu completed his medical degree with honours at Monash University. He subsequently undertook surgical training in both Australia and the United Kingdom and passed the Membership Examinations of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Surgical Anatomy from the University of Melbourne and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Dr Chu is an accredited Skin Cancer Doctor with the Skin Cancer College of Australasia and has a particular interest in cutaneous surgery. He also teaches courses for the Skin Cancer College and is passionate about providing outstanding skin cancer care to his patients.
